Active Ant Pvt. Ltd. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating impactful media content that drives social change. Though a relatively new entity, our team produce podcast episodes under Gulabi Sambad, focused on SRHR, mental health, and women’s health issues. Beyond podcasting and SRHR training, we have undertaken diverse activities in mass media, including translation services, audio-video production, and trainings on podcast production, SRHR and Life-skills. Our work emphasizes amplifying marginalized voices, fostering inclusive dialogue, and creating content that inspires action.

Gulabi Sambad is a flagship initiative of Active Ant Pvt. Ltd., created to address the silence and stigma surrounding Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Nepal. By leveraging podcasts, storytelling, and interactive training, it amplifies marginalized voices and creates accessible spaces where topics such as sexuality, harassment, consensual touch, and reproductive rights can be openly explored. Gulabi Sambad operates as a digital media platform under the umbrella of the not-for-profit company, Active Ant Pvt. Ltd., guided by the principle of social responsibility. It aims to bridge the gaps by fostering meaningful and age-appropriate discussions about Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) across all age groups, genders, castes, cultures, and geographical regions. Sabita Acharya is Nepal’s first certified female podcast trainer and a seasoned communicator with 17+ years of experience in media and communications. She has led national-level programs focused on sexual and reproductive health, rights (SRHR), and youth empowerment. Sabita brings a unique blend of storytelling, advocacy, and capacity-building expertise, helping organizations amplify voices and create meaningful social impact. As the co-founder and producer of Gulabi Sambad, a critically acclaimed SRHR-focused podcast, she elevates the voices of marginalized women and girls. Dedicated to women and’s leadership and empowerment, she actively trains, designs scripts, and conducts educational workshops, equipping women with the skills to lead and advocate through digital storytelling.
Karuna Devkota
Co-founder and Program Producer
Karuna Devkota is an experienced media professional with 13 years of expertise across radio, television, print, and digital platforms. A pioneer in impactful storytelling, Karuna has excelled in journalism, content creation, training facilitation, and SRHR advocacy. She has led and coproduced innovative podcasts and programs engaging diverse Nepali audiences. Devkota is skilled in strong documentation, particularly in presenting information in clear and organized points. Further, she is proficient in creating comprehensive reports and summaries tailored to specific audiences.
