Basically, cells in the breast grow out of control in breast cancer. The type of breast cancer depends on which cells in the breast turn into cancer. Breast cancer can begin in other parts of the breast as well. Therefore, to raise awareness about breast cancer, every year the month of October is celebrated as breast cancer awareness month.
